I won't work with any agency that sends speculative candidate profiles, because those candidates don't exist. That approach is widespread, and really hurts the recruitment industry.

With my job title, I get a lot of cold sales approaches. There's a lot of automation involved by the looks of it and some of the pitches are just rubbish. Thought it might be helpful to explain what works and doesn't work. Might maybe help someone somewhere sell better and someone somewhere have less junk to filter through.
